Tips & Tricks for a Great NYC Trip
- Dress for the weather. Be sure to research the weather in advance and be prepared! NYC can get very cold, so be prepared! Have a coat, gloves, hat, proper shoes, etc.
- Buy tickets in advance. Buy your tickets in advance if you are planning to go to the Radio City Rockettes, a Broadway Show, etc.
- Wear proper shoes. It is important to wear proper shoes when visiting the Big Apple because you are going to be walking ALOT! It is also important to note that NYC is not a very clean city – so please do not wear your fancy shoes. It might be a good idea to wear some old shoes that you can throw away after your trip.
- Do not look like a tourist. In general, when traveling, you should try to fit in with the locals. Try not to walk around holding big gaudy maps as you will be a target for pick-pocketers.
- Keep valuables close. It is important for men to keep your wallet in front pockets and for women to wear cross-body bags. Don’t make it easy for pick-pocketers to quickly grab your belongings.
Have Fun in The Big Apple!! xoxo Megan & Sean
