1. Visit Carnival website

2. Selecting Cruise Information

• In middle of the screen there is a white box with Sail To, Sail From, Dates, Duration… Select the drop downs of the fields that you know (for instance, if you know you want to sail from Miami, go in February, and you want a 6-9 day cruise, then select those drop downs).
• Not all of the fields need to be selected. Then press “Search Cruises”

3. Available Cruises

• The next screen will show you available cruises for those selected parameters.
• You can scroll through each option to see what ships go to which ports
• You can also look at the starting prices for each cruise

4. How to Read the Cruise Information

1. Name of the Cruise Ship
2. Starting port & all ports to visit
3. Lists the dates available for that ship & ports
4. If you have cruised before, you can input your VIFP Club Number here. If you have not cruised before, you can leave this area blank as you will be assigned a number when you book. If you have cruised before, make sure you input this information as it could reduce your cost. Note: the VIFP Club Number is essentially a rewards number.
5. Prices for the different room categories for that date.
   • Interior rooms are interior with no window.
   • Ocean View have a window in the room.
   • Balcony has a balcony.
   • Suite has a balcony as well as a few more perks.
6. This indicates the taxes, fees, and port expenses that are an additional charge.

5. Cruise Summary

For the purpose of this presentation, I selected Balcony, but the following screens are the same regardless of what type of room you select 🙂

1. Cruise Summary. Make sure you verify this is all correct.
2. Financial Information. Shows you how much it costs per person, if you are receiving any onboard credit, how much your gratuities are, how much vacation protection would be, and your total and required deposit at time of booking.
3. Room Information. This is the time you can select your room. Click “Change Room” and then you will get to the next section.

6. Select Room

• The Select Room section is where you can select your room.
• The more budget conscious rooms are the Interior, Ocean View, and Balcony.
• The other rooms may start at decent prices but quickly rise as you progress in your booking.
• For the purpose of this demonstration, I have selected Balcony.

7. Select Balcony Room

• The next screen shows all of the Balcony options.
• You will notice there are options that require more money.
• In the right hand corner, you will notice the total is listed there. The price will change if you play around with the tool and select different types of balconies. Feel free to play and see what options there are! No one knows your budget more than you!
• **Note: The first option says “Room Will Be Assigned” – this means that you will not get to pick your room location. In my opinion it is well worth the extra $20 to be able to select your room.
• For the purpose of this, I selected the second option labeled “Balcony”.

8. Select Offer

• The next screen will show you Offers available.
• Be sure to look through each option as each option has different incentives you will receive.
• Some offers offer onboard credit (credit to be used onboard), the option to choose your room location, upgrades, even drink packages.
• Be sure to look through them to see what you can find!

9. Select Room Location

• The next screen asks you to select your room location.
• You will notice some locations are included in your cruise, while others have an additional cost.
• Each location has its own strengths and weaknesses.
• We prefer to stay in the back, but again, its up to you!
• As you move along, you will notice that everything you select that has an additional cost adds on to your total at the top righthand corner. This makes it easy to determine the estimated cost 🙂

10. Select Your Deck

• This next screen asks you to Select Your Deck.
• This again is based on preference.
• My suggestion would be to research the cruise ship you are going on prior to getting this far so you know what deck you may want to stay on.
• Again, you will notice that some decks cost more (could be for a number of reasons – one being it could be closer to the action, etc.)

11. Select Room Number

• This is your time to select what room you want.
• We select our room based on the number being easy to remember (remember some of these ships have thousands of rooms!) & not too close to an elevator/stairway.

12. Cruise Summary

• Again, review all of this information and make sure everything is correct.
• The date, cruise ship, and itinerary should be correct.
• The price should be correct.
• You can select to prepay gratuities in advance and then you won’t have to pay them later.
• Your room should now be input at the bottom.
• *** The Guests 2 block will be empty. Please do not try to input this information now as it will take you away from this page and you MAY have to start over.
• The sale you selected should be there.
• Select continue and you are almost done!

13. Traveler Information

• Almost Done! Now is the time to input all of your information.
• Again, if you do not have a VIFP number, do not freight as you can leave this blank!
• Press Continue and you should be done!! 🙂
